Leeway Brothers is not itself registered with Gas Safe Register or NAPIT. Any gas work on our projects is carried out by independent Gas Safe registered businesses, and any notifiable electrical work by independent NAPIT registered electricians. They work under their own business name and registration number, and issue the certificates and Building Regulations notifications for their work. Before work starts, we'll give you their details so you can check them on the official register.
Who Does What on Your Project
We manage the whole project, including the independent registered partners we bring in for gas and notifiable electrical work. Here's what that means for you and how to check them.
Gas work — registered partner engineers
Independent partnerLeeway Brothers does not carry out gas work itself. Any gas work on your project — such as boiler installations, central heating systems and gas cookers — is carried out by an independent Gas Safe registered business that we bring in.
What This Means for You
- Gas Safe registration is a legal requirement for gas work in the UK
- They work under their own registered business name and registration number
- Their engineers carry a Gas Safe ID card showing that business — ask to see it
- They notify Gas Safe Register where required and issue the gas safety certificates for their work

Electrical work — registered partner electricians
Independent partnerNotifiable electrical work on your project is carried out by independent partner electricians registered with NAPIT, a government-approved competent person scheme. Leeway Brothers is not registered with NAPIT itself.
What This Means for You
- They certify notifiable work under Building Regulations in their own name
- They issue the Electrical Installation Certificate for their work
- They work under their own business name and registration number
- You can check them on NAPIT’s public register at search.napit.org.uk
