A compact downstairs cloakroom in Kings Langley that was completely stripped back and refreshed to make the most of every square centimetre. The existing fixtures, tiles, and flooring were removed, and the walls were re-plastered where needed to provide a smooth, even surface. We tiled the main walls with classic white metro tiles in a brick-bond pattern, using a light grey grout to add subtle definition. A stylish wall-hung basin was mounted on a concealed frame, freeing up floor space and making the small room feel more open. The basin is paired with a single-lever chrome mixer tap for a clean, modern look. The new close-coupled WC features a dual-flush cistern and soft-close seat. Above the basin, we installed an LED mirror cabinet with built-in demister and shaver socket, providing both storage and a warm ambient light. The flooring is a waterproof vinyl click plank in a light oak effect, laid over a levelled subfloor — it is durable, easy to clean, and warm underfoot. The remaining walls were painted in a soft neutral tone that complements the tiling and keeps the space feeling bright. All pipework was renewed with new isolation valves on each fitting, and a discreet extractor fan was installed to manage moisture. Despite its modest size, this cloakroom now feels fresh, functional, and thoughtfully designed.
