How long does an EV charger installation take?
Most home installations are completed in 3–4 hours. If a consumer unit upgrade is needed, it may take a full day.
Do I need a special electricity supply?
Most homes have sufficient supply for a 7kW charger. We check your supply during the free survey and arrange upgrades with your DNO if needed.
Can I charge from a 3-pin plug?
You can, but it's slow (8-12 hours for a full charge) and not recommended long-term as the socket may overheat. A dedicated 7kW charger is 3-4 times faster and much safer.
Is there still a government grant?
The OZEV grant for homeowners has ended, but grants are still available for landlords, tenants, and businesses. We'll check your eligibility during the survey.
